Please note that you will need 32 bit color mode in order to use your current display. Seems like you are trying to render the game in 8bit mode. I have windows 10 64 bit and i update my AMD radeon driver and i still get same message. This is the successor to the Scout Trooper - Reimagined mod I made back in March.
Eventually it stops responding altogether and crashes to desktop with the 'display driver has stopped responding but has recovered' message. Make sure that your video card and driver are compatible with DirectDraw. Menu will be in 800600, screen size for battles choose in Option menu. Replace file Game/player.exe by copy of Game/Battlegrounds.exe (main game) or copy of Game/battlegroundsx1.exe (main+dlc game).
